Monthly bookkeeping
The heart of what we do. Every month, your transactions get reviewed and categorized, every bank and credit card account gets reconciled, and you get a Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet you can actually read, delivered by the 15th of each month once we have your statements.
Here is the part that matters: we review your numbers before you ever see them. If a balance looks wrong, a deposit does not make sense, or an expense is out of pattern, we ask questions and dig until we understand it. You hear about problems from us, not from your CPA in April.

Pricing: starts at $350 a month. Most clients land between $350 and $800, and complex, larger companies can run up to $1,500. Exact number after the free look.
QuickBooks cleanup & catch-up
Months or years behind? Books that never quite added up? Honestly, cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping is our favorite kind of project. There is nothing you can show us that will shock us, and nothing to be embarrassed about.
We go through your QuickBooks, trace what does not make sense, fix the account structure, reconcile everything, and clean up the balance sheet. Loans that never tied out, merchant deposits that were a mystery, sales tax that piled up in the wrong place: this is the work. You end up with a clean starting point and books you can finally trust.

Pricing: quoted flat after the free look. Projects run from $1,800 up to around $12,000 for the biggest, most complex files. Most one-year cleanups finish in 4 to 8 weeks once we have your statements.
QuickBooks setup & bookkeeping systems
Starting a business, or outgrowing a do-it-yourself setup? We build the bookkeeping around how your business actually works, not a generic template. Chart of accounts that matches your operation, bank feeds connected correctly, and workflows you can actually keep up with.
That includes complicated setups: multiple revenue streams, divisions, and multi-channel ecommerce. If your money flows through Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, PayPal, or Stripe, we make sure what lands in your bank actually ties back to what you sold.

Payroll, 1099s, sales tax, and year-end
All core to the job. Most engagements include some mix of these, because real bookkeeping does not stop at categorizing transactions:
- Payroll. Setup with systems like Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll, payroll recorded correctly in the books every run, and troubleshooting when something looks wrong.
- 1099 preparation and filing. We track contractor payments all year, help collect the W-9s, and prepare and file your 1099s in January.
- Sales tax bookkeeping. Sales tax flowing correctly through your books, marketplace activity untangled, and coordination with whoever files for you.
- Year-end and CPA coordination. Clean books, organized reports, and a direct handoff to your tax professional. We make their job easy.
What we do not do
We believe in honest scope. True North does not prepare tax returns, give legal advice, perform audits, or act as your CPA. We do not handle your customer invoicing or collections, and we are not a fractional CFO firm. We keep your books clean, clear, and watched, and we work alongside the professionals who handle the rest.
