Do you do taxes?
No. Taxes are not our lane, and we say so upfront. We keep your books clean, coordinate year-end, and hand your tax pro books so clean their job gets easy. We work alongside a great CPA partner and support other CPAs and their clients too. Need a referral? Happy to connect you.
My books are really behind. Can you fix that?
Yes. Cleanup and catch-up is one of our core services, and honestly a favorite. Months behind, years behind, books that never made sense: we have seen it all, and there is nothing you could show us that would shock us. No judgment, ever.
How long does a cleanup take?
Most one-year cleanups finish in 4 to 8 weeks once we have your statements and account access. Bigger or messier files take longer, and you will know that before we start. Fast answers to our questions keep it moving.
Do I have to already use QuickBooks?
No. We work in QuickBooks Online, and if you are not on it yet we set it up correctly from the start: chart of accounts, bank connections, and workflows that fit how your business actually runs. Starting clean beats cleaning up later.
What happens after I reach out?
A simple conversation, usually about twenty minutes. We learn about your business, what is going on with the books, and what you are worried about. Then we take a free look at your QuickBooks and tell you honestly where things stand and what we would do next. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
Do you only work with Minnesota businesses?
We are rooted in Hugo and the Twin Cities and love working locally, but we support clients remotely too. QuickBooks Online makes that easy, and our clients get a private portal for documents and questions no matter where they are.
When will my books be done each month?
Monthly clients receive their reports by the 15th of each month, as long as we have the statements and information we need. If something is holding up the close, you will hear from us right away, not at the deadline.
Will I actually understand my reports?
Yes. That is the whole point. We explain your numbers in plain English, flag what matters, and answer questions whenever they come up. You do not need an accounting degree to work with us. That is our job.
How much does it cost?
Every business is different, so you always get an exact number after the free look, before any work starts. Honest anchors: monthly bookkeeping starts at $350. Most clients land between $350 and $800, and complex, larger companies can run up to $1,500. Cleanup projects are quoted flat and run from $1,800 up to around $12,000 for the biggest, most complex files. Just starting out? Startups are our passion. How do you get into my QuickBooks? Is that safe?
You invite Kelley as your accountant user in QuickBooks Online. It takes about two minutes, and she can walk you through it. She never needs your bank logins. You can remove her access anytime with one click, and everything she sees stays confidential.
